International star Natacha Atlas announces Israel boycott

International singer and songwriter Natacha Atlas has announced publicly that she is canceling a planned concert in Israel and will boycott the country “until this systemised apartheid is abolished once and for all.”

Two significant milestones in the Palestinian-led movement for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) were marked this week with a vote by the UK’s Trades Union Congress to reconsider its ties with Israel’s national trade union federation, and with the confirmation that boycott target Agrexco was ordered into liquidation. 

Israel Philharmonic Orchestra disrupted by BDS activists

Tonight’s performance by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra was disrupted repeatedly by solidarity activists. These activists who protested inside and outside the venue, Royal Albert Hall, were responding to a call by the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel.
