VIDEO: The BDS movement and strategic actions for justice

At the most recent Al-Awda conference in Garden Grove, California, poet Remi Kanazi, professor Sunaina Maira (UC Davis), and The Electronic Intifada’s Ali Abunimah laid out the current strategies of the current global boycott, divestment and sanctions movement led by Palestinian civil society, and analyzed the movement’s gains as well as the mounting backlash against BDS actions and activists.

The video, produced by Alternate Focus and Al-Awda: The Palestinian Right to Return Coalition, is 29 minutes long and is both a fantastic primer for Palestine solidarity activists wanting to learn more about what BDS is and how it works, as well as a riveting discussion for seasoned BDS activists seeking to expand the movement.
